Beck must be giggling and jumping for joy right now... and feeling really empowered... Indeed, the entire right wing machine must be on cloud 9!!! Their bullying tactics continue to succeed and it seems to be them who are using the "bully pulpit" rather than Obama. It is sooooo depressing. Just thought I'd share my rant to the administration I sent off after learning Van had "resigned"
Letter to Obama's folk:
I just read that Van Jones has resigned. You let Glen Beck eliminate one of the most inspirational people in your administration???? The Bullies are winning and smell blood and all our hopes and dreams are going down the drain. Roosevelt would have never bent over like this. It was a similar time and he took them on and inspired the nation. Rather than do this your bending over backwards to appease these horrible human beings is leaving more and more of us wondering what the hell is going on? I don't even expect you to stand up next week anymore... like many I'm waiting for you to sell us out... you've been all but saying you would. This will be the death of democracy letting these evil and sick people control the message. I can't believe this is what we've come to and that you've become this weak spineless sellout to corporate fascism and right wing wackos. I will pray you wake up before next wednesday, listen to a bunch of Roosevelt's speeches and find your voice before long. Hope is dying fast and a lot of us are freaked out... 2010 is going to be ugly and I fear for the future... just 6 months ago it all looked possible...to save this world.

Last week Thom Hartman played a lot of Roosevelt's speeches taking on the corporatists who were raping the country and he did it by taking them "head on" in a strong and forceful fashion. No appeasement, no backing down, no wimping out or selling out. This is what Obama promised. This is NOT what we're getting.
